The Graduate College of Dance prepares talented students aged 10 to 17 (Years 5 to 12) for the profession, in a supportive and encouraging environment. In addition, the College offers an Introductory Dance Performance Course for aspiring young dancers aged to 9, to prepare them for Year 5 auditions, and an after-school Extra-Mural Dance Course (13-17 years of age) for those who wish to train at the College, but not on a vocational level.
The College’s comprehensive curriculum, taught by distinguished, internationally recognised teachers including ex-professionals, combines professional dance training with a high standard of academic education to tertiary level.
A system of training has been developed that draws upon valuable traditions from different schools of classical ballet, while embracing the demands of classical dance technique as is required of professional artists today.
The Graduate College of Dance believes it is necessary that all students have a broad-based comprehensive education that equips them to pursue vocations, not only in dance and the allied arts, but also in areas outside dance. Senior School students are able to complete their academic education to TEE level at an associated high school, dividing the school day between academic and dance studies.
The Graduate College of Dance offers a range of performance experiences, with a major public season held each year in Perth.

The Graduate College of Dance was established in 1973 with the vision of creating a nurturing environment where young students could continue with dance training in Perth rather than suffer the emotional upheavals and expense of training in the eastern states or overseas.
More than thirty years after it was founded, The Graduate College of Dance remains committed to providing elite dance training within a stimulating environment.
