2010 SALZBURG INTERNATIONAL BALLET WORKSHOP
Director, Dawn Weller was invited to be on the international faculty of the 2010 Salzburg International Ballet Workshop in Austria. The workshop is held annually attracting students from all over the world. Students that participated from the College are Postgraduate David Bremner ,and Sophie and Samantha Derrick-Fraser in Years 9 & 10 respectively. The workshop is an intensive one-month programme giving upcoming young dancers an insight into the life of a professional dancer. The workshop culminates in three gala performances in Salzburg and Munich.

ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE FESTIVAL OF DANCE 2010
An annual event organised by the RAD WA Regional Advisory Panel, the Festival of Dance was held at Curtin Theatre in Fremantle, 4-6 June 2010. Special guests included David McAllister OAM, Artistic Director of Australian Ballet and Lynn Wallis, Artistic Director of the Royal Academy of Dance, London.
This year the following students from the College were entered in the three major scholarship categories:
Evelyn Hodgkinson Scholarship:
Jessica Bafile, Jaclyn Clarke and Georgia Stewar
tJoan Stacy Scholarship:
Jessica Evans, Emily Gardiner, Rhianna Isard, Keshia Ollivierre, Teina Pirake and Sean Williams
Linley Wilson Scholarship:
Sarah Gatzonis and Paige Macliver
Keshia Ollivierre and Rhianna Isard were awarded first and second placing respectively in the Joan Stacy Scholarship.

PRIX DE LAUSANNE – 26-31 JANUARY 2010
Director Dawn Weller attended the Prix de Lausanne, an international competition open to young dancers aged 15 to 18, which was held at the Theatre de Beaulieu in Lausanne, Switzerland. 83 dancers were selected from 260 applicants worldwide for the semi-finals. 20 were selected for the finals. All finalists and winners have the opportunity of being offered scholarships to some of the world’s finest international dance schools. In the time Dawn was at Lausanne she managed to catch up with friends and former colleagues of the dance world.
